We echo Carrie's sentiments wholeheartedly. As owners of our own company, we depend significantly on the phone to drive business, but there are moments when the office is just me, and I choose to let the phone ring. This inevitably leads me to check 1471 later, and it's quite the nuisance, to say the least. It's baffling how these callers seem to operate without a care in the world! If I were to engage in cold calling like this, I’d be in hot water very quickly. Yet, these bothersome individuals seem to have free rein, bombarding us all day long without any consequences.

I quite concur with Kerri’s sentiments. We run our own company and depend heavily on our phone for generating leads, but there are occasions when I’m at the office solo, and I end up ignoring calls. I then find myself checking the last caller with 1471, which can be a real nuisance. It’s baffling how these callers manage to operate without any consequences. If we were to bombard potential clients with cold calls, we would swiftly find ourselves in a heap of trouble, yet these nuisances seem to go about their business unchecked, day in and day out.

At first, everything appeared quite above board (as it often does, doesn't it?). However, it’s turned rather unsettling. We were merely looking to have a chat about promoting our enterprise. In our naivety, we agreed. Now, we’ve received another eight calls from them (or numbers linked to them) while we were away. The moment these folks show up, we’ll be sending them packing!

Received a call earlier today from a company claiming to sell advertising spaces on the reverse side of doctors' appointment cards. We had actually been alerted to this by several discussions in online forums. As self-employed individuals, we could easily have fallen for it if we hadn't done a bit of digging through those threads.

We operate a ring-based service, and it's crucial for our business to receive calls from potential clients. Unfortunately, we frequently end up ignoring the phone because we’re bombarded with nuisance callers. It's quite frustrating, as we often wish those genuine callers would just leave a message instead. It seems something ought to be done about this situation. On average, we handle at least ten calls a day that end up being nothing but timewasters.

Received a call from this number recently, but our answering machine took over. Honestly, why don’t these callers leave a proper message? That’s precisely what the answering machine is there for, isn’t it? It's rather frustrating!

I tried reaching out to the business owner, but as soon as we mentioned he wasn’t available, they abruptly terminated the call. It’s the same company that rang me previously, and they even dispatched a sales representative to meet with me. There was something about promoting my business on an appointment card for distribution in a doctor’s surgery. We asked for some sample cards, but then they left without providing any. When our manager subsequently contacted the businesses they had listed, we found out that many of them claimed they’d been cheated in the process. So, a word of caution-watch out for these con artists!
