I got calls saying they were from Microsoft, telling me my ID was linked to some illegal stuff. They asked me to look up my ID on Safari to prove it was legit. They kept ringing back like 10 times but each call came from a different number. Proper annoying!

Total scam. This number is one of many run by Bicom Systems. The caller had an Indian accent and played fake office chatter in the background to sound legit. They said they were from BT internet security, tried to push their usual spiel, but suddenly cut off mid-sentence and hung up before I even said anything!
