Got a phone call from 01254 278664, Blackburn area code, and it was one of those scam calls. Some robot woman told me it was my bank saying my card had been charged £300 and £1,100 for stuff on Amazon and that it looked fishy. She told me to press 1 or 2 to deal with it, but obviously I didn’t press any buttons.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from the NHS, but then straight away started chatting about life insurance. I was like, when did the NHS start selling life insurance anyway? The guy said his name was Steven and had an Indian accent or something, really dodgy.

Got a call from an Indian bloke talking about debts or something like that. When I jokingly asked if he was interested in buying windows, he got a bit riled up. He said he didn’t want any windows, so I asked why, and before I could get an answer, he just ended the call.

Received a call from 01254 369471, Blackburn. Someone with an African accent said they were from the NHS and started asking if I’d got my vaccinations and about any mental health problems. Then out of nowhere, they started asking about any debts I might have from the lockdown! Definitely a scam, watch out!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was ringing about my unpaid loans and debts. I told him straight up I don't owe anything, and then he started yelling, accusing me of lying and said I was basically stealing from banks. Got a call from 01254 369471 today, a lady with an Asian accent answering. She started quizzing me about debt recovery stuff. When I pushed back a bit, the call just got cut off. I received a call purporting to be from the NHS, inquiring whether I had encountered any issues following my second jab. They then proceeded to ask if I had obtained my vaccination certificate. That’s when my suspicions were aroused, and I fabricated a response, claiming I had received it (which is not the case, mind you), and this seemed to confuse them momentarily. After a brief pause, they inquired if I had availed myself of any government assistance regarding financial troubles. I gave another false affirmation (again, I haven’t), which once more left them momentarily dumbfounded. I then probed them about which NHS department was on the line, and they replied it was the Vaccine Follow-Up Department. At that point, I mentioned I was going to verify their number in the 8 by 8 directory since I work for the NHS, and lo and behold, the call cut off immediately.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who dropped my full name and said he was with the NHS. He claimed I’d had two Covid jabs, which isn’t right as I actually got two plus a booster. I didn’t say whether it was true or not, just asked what he wanted, and then he ended the call. I’ve since blocked the number on my phone.

This number called me a couple of times and the first time I actually thought it might be legit because the person said they were from the NHS, asking about my vaccination status and how I was feeling. I had a rather peculiar experience recently; I received a phone call from a firm purporting to represent the NHS, inquiring about my private healthcare insurance. I received a call purporting to be from the NHS, inquiring whether I had experienced any issues following my second jab. They went on to ask if I had my vaccination certificate. That raised my suspicions, so I pretended I had it (which, to be honest, I haven't got). That seemed to throw them off somewhat-there was a bit of an awkward silence. After a moment, they pivoted to asking if I’d sought any kind of governmental assistance regarding debts, to which I also replied yes (again, not true). They fell silent yet again. Curious, I then probed them on which NHS division they represented, and they claimed to be from the Vaccine Follow-Up Department. I then suggested they hold on while I dug out the 8 by 8 directory to verify their number since I work for the NHS. Lo and behold, the line went completely dead!
