6 years***WARNING ABOUT SCAM CALLS*** Today at around 11 in the morning, I got another call from that same number. If you use Sky, be very careful. Someone rang me asking if my Internet was running slow recently - which it had been, because I had a similar call a few weeks back. I ended up spending about two hours on the phone with them. They told me to log into my account and then guided me to a website tool that let them take control of my laptop. Afterwards, my screen just went black, and they convinced me it was because my Internet speed was being changed! They had access to my router, personal info, and even mentioned refunding £304 for the slow connection. The whole thing felt so genuine and believable, and the person sounded really knowledgeable. When I got off, I rang Sky and they confirmed they never contacted me. I cancelled my debit card just in case - lucky, as no money was taken, though they definitely tried. They even said an engineer would come on Monday! Honestly, keep your guard up folks.
