I got a voicemail on my home phone saying they’d been trying to reach me and that my internet was about to be cut off. I was sure nothing was wrong with my broadband, so I got in touch with bt. They explained that these calls often come from overseas and whenever they block one number, the scammers just use a different one next time - but the calls still look like they’re from somewhere in the uk. It’s a complete scam, and they’re just trying to trick people into paying for something they don’t owe.
