Even though my number is ex-directory and listed on the TPS, I still got a call from this particular number. The caller sounded like an Asian bloke, and once he started his spiel, I quickly told him my number was ex-directory, that I never pick up for numbers I don't know, and asked him to remove me from whatever list they have (assuming there is one, as they seem to use stored numbers). After that, I said goodbye and hung up. I always thought companies like this weren't meant to ring numbers registered with the TPS. These sorts of calls are so annoying and need to be stopped.

Got a call from someone with a strange accent saying they were from the ‘accident investigation unit’ - didn’t buy it, just said cheerio and hung up!

My 81 year old mum got a call from someone with an Asian accent, sounded a bit dodgy. When she tried to end the call, the bloke started being nasty and said he was gonna come round. If he actually wants to drive all the way from Blackpool to North Wales, go ahead, but just know I'll be waiting for him too!

Got a call from someone with a weird foreign accent, said they were from some kind of accident support service. Pretty obvious it was a scam. I just ended the call right away, no point in entertaining it. Best to just hang up on these suspicious calls.

Got a call from someone speaking with an Indian accent, but there was loads of noise in the back. They claimed someone linked to this number had been hurt in an accident. Pretty sure it was just a cold call trying to get me into a compensation claim.
