I recently received an alarming phone call that was claimed to be from TalkTalk regarding issues with my broadband. The caller urged me to download and install some third-party software for a so-called investigation. Thankfully, I caught on before going too far and swiftly terminated the call. They rang me back straight away, but I decided to ignore it again. Over the past several weeks, I've been inundated with calls from this number at all sorts of hours, even as early as the crack of dawn! It's become evident to me now that I should disregard any calls from this number altogether. I'm left wondering, who are these people and what are their intentions?

This number continually rings my landline but never bothers to leave a voicemail. I’m registered as ex-directory and with the Telephone Preference Service. The area code suggests it’s from Blackpool.

Received a rather perplexing call today from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk. They mentioned that our broadband service would be cut off effective immediately, but to be honest, I couldn't make out much of what he was on about. It all seemed rather dodgy, so I chose to hang up.
