Got a call from a guy who said his name was Martin, some Asian bloke pretending to be from TalkTalk Technical Support. Their goal? To hack into your computer and then threaten you into coughing up cash to unlock it. I just hung up straight away. What’s weird is, about an hour later, I got another call from 0031054343, again an Asian chap. Makes me think the number 01253406781 is just a front, and seeing the 0031 prefix, it looks like it’s coming from the Netherlands. If anyone rings claiming to be TalkTalk Technical, don’t trust it - they’re nothing but con artists.

Stay away from this dodgy bloke K###an Q###um from Leicester! I saw him hanging around Spinney Hills, Evington, and Highfields - total arsehole. Don’t trust him, he’s a proper liar. BEWARE!

I looked up 01253 406781 and got in touch with BT about it. Turns out it’s a normal home phone line and not connected to any scammers. The dodgy ones must be 'masking' this number to make it look like they’re calling from within the UK. Total scam!

A chap rang me, claiming that I’d fallen victim to some cyber crooks and insisted I needed to access my computer. As if I'd ever go along with that! He even had the audacity to say he was from Talk Talk. Ridiculous!

I got a call from someone who just said hello with an odd accent and then cut off straight away. I've checked with TalkTalk, and they confirmed they're not making these calls - definitely scammers messing about.

Had some bloke on the phone pretending to be from support, gave me a dodgy account number and kept pressing like I was supposed to believe him. He said something about TeamViewer not being running so he could take over my computer and even wanted me to remove my internet security! I just humoured him to see what other tricks he’d come out with.

I received a call where the individual, who had a somewhat Indian-sounding accent, insisted on speaking to my husband by his proper name.

Just had a run in with this mess myself today. Seriously, what’s TalkTalk even doing about it? Total joke. Everything went downhill after their servers got hacked. Never had any troubles like this back when I was with AOL. And heads up, they actually have the power to cut off your internet too, which is just ridiculous :(

This number rang me twice today, never heard of it before. Both calls came around the same time I usually get calls, just a few minutes apart. The ones from 'Talk Talk' normally show up as International Out of Area on my phone.

02090256779 and 01253406781 keep ringing me like crazy! This morning, at about 8:15am, the first call came in, and even when I don’t answer, they just keep trying. I tried ignoring but it's getting annoying, especially with those other calls from 02090256779 blowing up my phone at least ten times yesterday. Honestly, I’m so over this constant ringing.

Got a call from someone with a strong Indian accent. He wanted to speak to the person who holds the main internet account. Weirdly enough, he actually knew who our provider was. When I asked what company he was calling from, he just hung up. What a knobhead.

Got a call from 01253406781, some bloke with a thick accent saying he was from TalkTalk, claiming there was an issue with my computer. I nearly believed him, but luckily my husband spotted it as a scam and told me to hang up. Then the same number called back a few minutes later and I just ignored it. This happened on 28th July 2016.

Had a guy from India calling, asking to verify my son's details. I kept acting like I couldn't catch what he said, asking him to say it over and over. In the end, he just gave up and dropped the call!

Greetings, I was hoping for a bit of assistance regarding a telephone number: 01253406781. Without fail, we get a call from this line each day at approximately 9:45 AM. Got a call saying my internet had been cut off and they needed to fix it quickly before scammers took advantage. I called my internet company straight away and gave them the number. Turns out it’s a scam trying to steal your info and get into your computer. Luckily, I didn’t give them anything and just hung up since I know my provider only contacts me if I arrange a time first. Don’t share any details with these people. I’ve passed the number on to my provider and they’re getting the police involved.
