Capquest, or as I like to call them, CRAP QUEST! They’re just those pesky debt buyers who snap up your debts for peanuts and then bombard you with calls, texts, and emails trying to scare you into paying. Been getting loads of calls recently from loads of different numbers claiming to be Capquest. They wouldn’t say much unless I gave them my personal info and refused to tell me anything else. Did a bit of digging and it looks like they’re using the name of a debt firm but I don’t owe any money at all. When I said I checked and there’s nothing owed, the guy said he’d send a letter and make me evict. Still waiting on that letter though. Feels like a total scam to me!

The caller didn’t say his name or which company he was from, just started with "How’s it going?" I asked "Who’s this?" He said "I’m calling about your computer. How’s it running?" Absolute pain, these debt collectors. Now that the whole PPI thing has died down, they're digging up old debts like there's no tomorrow. Just a heads up, if you haven't paid for 6 years, that debt is statute barred and they really can't hound you for it. If they do try to chase it, you gotta demand a court order before handing over any money or agreeing to any payments. They ain't allowed to come into your home without that order either.
