Some bloke claiming to be from BT called me just after dawn and sounded pretty sharp. He said there was a problem with my line that needed looking at, then told me to grab my phone and open the “playstore.” I wasn’t comfortable with it and he then said he’d call me back, even though moments before he said it was urgent. Then he just cut the call off.

think it was a scam, ended up hanging up right when it reached my voicemail.

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT about problems with my internet. Told them I’m not even a BT customer. Then they insisted BT covers the whole country and all ISPs rely on them, and claimed my computer was infected with some nasty malware. I replied with ‘Is that so?’ and then they just ended the call.
