Got a call from someone claiming to be security or the police, telling me my NI number was involved in fraud. They said if I wanted to protect my bank accounts, I needed to press 1 and speak to a security agent. How come the real police, MI5 or whatever don’t crack down on these scammers? They were even using a Virgin Media phone number! I worry some unlucky people might fall for this and end up losing a lot.
