Somebody pretending to be from Carphone Warehouse rang me first from a different number 01615202230. I told them I was signed up to the TPS list and they shouldn’t be ringing me with sales calls but the person said I was wrong. Then they phoned me another 4 times from that same number until I shouted really loud down the phone and they finally stopped.

I got a call from a man named Jason claiming to be from Amazon, sounded just like a proper call centre guy. Watch out coz it’s a total scam. He told me someone bought stuff from Amazon using my details and asked if it was me, which I said no. Then he said I had to cancel the payment and get a refund. They managed to do it all remotely and ended up robbing me of nearly £3000. Honestly, be really careful and don’t trust callers like this.

Got a call from someone saying they were Virgin Media tech support, claiming my IP was compromised. They wanted me to alter my router settings. I told them I'd confirm with Virgin Media first and ended the call. Following a brief silence, a voice with an Asian accent introduced herself as being from Carphone Warehouse, proceeding to inquire about my mobile device. I courteously informed her that I had no interest in continuing the conversation and promptly hung up. I've since blocked the number-likely a scam, if you ask me.

Received a phone call from Aldershot, claiming to be from a mobile phone shop, proposing an upgrade on my current contract at a rather tempting price. They were rather insistent and persistent in their pitch. I made it clear I wasn’t keen, so I hung up. I've since blocked the number.

I received a call from a chap named Dominic Gramatte associated with Publicis Media. It seems he was attempting to peddle some dodgy YouTube advertising services purportedly for the Singapore Government. Quite the dubious spiel, if you ask me!

They said it was Virgin Media IT calling me, but as soon as I said anything, they just put the phone down. Definitely not Amazon in my experience.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon, saying I'd somehow ordered an iPhone 7 for £371. They told me to confirm some details so they could cancel it and stop whoever was messing with my account. Bit dodgy if you ask me.
