I got a call from an Asian guy initially, then soon after a lady who sounded Asian too rang me saying my computer was infected with horrible viruses. I told her I don’t use a PC, only a tablet, but she insisted I had a computer. We went back and forth for a bit before I just ended the call. Complete muppets. I contacted BT afterwards, and they confirmed they’re exactly like Microsoft - they NEVER ring you up for this kinda stuff. Definitely another dodgy scam.

Got calls from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was from BT. Over the past few weeks, he kept ringing asking me to verify my name, address, and DOB. When I asked why, he said there were problems with my internet, which isn’t true at all. Told him I wasn’t giving any info, and his response was to call me a liar before hanging up on me. Seems like a total scam to me, especially since I’m ex-directory. Just to set the record straight, I actually rang BT myself and they confirmed they haven’t been trying to contact me.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, saying my BT internet was being used by a stranger. He asked if I’d noticed anything unusual and questioned how many lights were showing on my router. Then he wanted to know if he could get access to my computer, but I told him I didn’t own one. Next, he asked how I connected to the internet, and that’s when I cracked and told him I didn’t think he was genuine, so I hung up on him. Now I’ve blocked the number.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming someone else was using my BT internet. He asked if I’d spotted anything unusual, how many lights were showing on my router, and if he could get onto my computer. When I told him I don’t have a PC, he then wanted to know how I connect to the internet. That’s when I just told him I didn’t think he was really from BT and ended the call. I’ve since blocked the number.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent, he kept saying I was Greek or something. Told him where he could stick his nonsense. Definitely not TalkTalk!

Picked up the phone and there was nothing but silence. Ever since the cyber attack on Talk Talk, I've had loads of weird calls. This one said they were from Talk Talk and needed to fix a virus on my PC, which isn’t true at all.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk. He said my computer got infected because of browsing social media sites. Since I don’t even go on social media, I figured it was a scam straight away. No way that was really TalkTalk!
