Today, my folks received a rather dodgy phone call from this number. The person on the line purporting to be from TalkTalk claimed that their Internet was being misused and insisted that they check it by logging onto their laptop. After a bit of confrontation, which involved some stern words from my parents, they decided to cut the call. Concerned, I contacted TalkTalk directly, only to find out they hadn’t made any such calls. This marks the third time today that various numbers have attempted to gain access to their computer. Quite alarming, isn't it?

I received a telephone call from this number claiming to represent Talk Talk. They mentioned they had spotted some unusual activity on my internet connection. I decided to end the conversation right there. Just a heads up, as they may try to persuade you to download software to remotely access your computer. Stay vigilant!

I received a call from them too! I had quite a laugh turning the tables on them until they got quite irate that I was adamant about not complying with their request (which was to grant access to my computer). I simply couldn’t stop asking them, “But why?” After about ten minutes of this back-and-forth, they hung up on me! A word of caution to everyone: they can take control of your computer remotely and then claim they’re going to send you some money as a kind gesture. What they'll do next is ask you to verify your account online to see if the funds have been deposited. They’re cunning enough to capture your banking credentials as you’re typing them in, and before you know it, they’ll empty your account! So, whatever you do, NEVER allow them access to your computer!
