8 yearsSome bloke with an Asian accent rang up saying he was from BT. Complete nonsense, he claimed my computer had a virus from some dodgy illegal stuff and threatened to cut off my service if I didn’t let him access my PC. Told him to jog on straight away. Bet they’ll ring back soon enough though, sometimes it’s a man, other times a woman doing the scam.BT8 yearsSomeone from this number clearly kept harassing me. When an Asian lady claimed she was from BT, I told her I wasn't with them and hung up right away on the 25th. I didn’t bother blocking the number then, but the next day I got another call, this time from a bloke who hardly had any accent and was going on about my internet, computer, and BT stuff again. I just ended the call immediately and blocked the number for good.BT8 yearsOn the 26th of June, I got a call from this number. There was a few moments of quiet after answering, then this lady with a strong Indian accent started talking. She claimed she was from BT and was warning me about my BT internet being cut off or something along those lines. First off, I don't even have BT internet. Secondly, I wouldn't fall for these scams if I did. I ended the call while she was still going on. Then, just today, a different number 01832983725 called me with a similar message, but this time it was an automated voice - clearly trying to get past call blockers!BT8 yearsThe voice on the other end sounded like they were from some call centre abroad, and honestly, it was hard to make out what they were saying.8 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were with BT and needed to get into my computer remotely - total scam!BT8 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were with BT, sounded like they had an Indian accent. They wanted me to let them control my screen or something. I just told them no and hung up.8 yearsA lady rang me up and asked if I knew that my internet might be cut off at any moment. Sounds like a classic scam starting to me.8 yearsGot a call with no one on the line, then ended with a robotic 'Goodbye'.8 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were from BT tech support overseas, saying my gadgets had been hacked. I told him I don’t even use BT anymore but he wouldn’t listen. He kept insisting I must have some device like an iPad or tablet and that the IP address was flagged. When I kept saying I’m not connected with BT devices, he got annoyed and then just cut the call. These kinds of calls really need to be stopped.BT8 yearsIt was the morning of 27th June, around 10am when I got a call from 01247856452, but there was no one speaking. Whenever I get these silent calls or dodgy numbers, I’ve got this whistle next to my phone and I give it a good blow. After that, they never ring me again!8 yearsGot a bloke on the phone today with a really strong Indian accent saying he was calling from BT. He told me I didn’t have a BT line and to remove me from his list because I’m signed up with TPI. There was heaps of back and forth and arguing. In the end, I just told him off and ended the call.BT8 yearsI just told her to buzz off and that was the end of it.8 yearsThis number’s just the typical dodgy Internet scam. I wasn’t having it and told the caller off pretty rudely, knowing full well it was a con. After hanging up, they rang back a couple more times and started shouting loads of nasty stuff, with a strong African accent. I also noticed other numbers popping up, like 004141566705 and 004141747969.8 yearsA woman rang me saying she was from BT, asking about how my internet was working. I told her to mind her own business as BT doesn’t provide my internet. She insisted that couldn't be true, so I said that the copper line from my house to the fibre cabinet belongs to Openreach. Right after that, she just ended the call. Definitely a scam. If you know a bit about your setup, they quickly lose interest, but someone less sure might easily fall for it!BTOpenreach8 yearsThey rang my house at quarter past seven in the morning but didn’t leave a voicemail. Is there any way to stop them?8 yearsHad a woman ring me up claiming there was an issue with my BT service, which is odd because I don’t even use BT. Ended the call straight away. I had a woman with an Asian accent say she was from BT and that my internet would be cut off for 20 days because my computer was full of viruses.
