Got a missed call on my landline again, this isn’t the first time this number has popped up. Wish there was a way to block it but no luck so far.

Got a call not long ago from a woman claiming to be with BT tech support, warning me our internet was about to be disconnected. A few hours later and everything’s still working fine, so I’m pretty sure it’s just another one of those dodgy scams. Honestly, it’s so annoying having to deal with these kinds of calls all the time!

Picked up the phone and all I heard was “Bye”. Strange call.

Got a call from an Indian bloke claiming he was with BT. He said my internet was about to be cut off. When I asked him how he knew I was with BT, he just kept saying he was a BT tech advisor. I told him he was talking rubbish and to stop being daft, then he slammed the phone down straight away. Wish I'd had more time to mess about with him, quite enjoy winding these lot up.

Got a call from a woman claiming she was with BT's tech support. I ended the call straight away. Heard from others that it's probably one of those scams.

At about 08:25, I got a call but when I picked up there was absolutely nothing - just silence. Then suddenly, a robotic voice came on and said 'Goodbye' before hanging up.

They keep ringing loads times a day, from first thing in the morning right through till late at night. I’m well and truely fed up with these scammers!

I got calls from two separate numbers within an hour. The lady claimed my IP was compromised by someone overseas and blamed me for sharing child abuse stuff globally. She warned if I didn’t follow her orders, the cops would come after me since I couldn’t prove I wasn’t responsible. Yeah, right - I don’t think so!

Had calls from a number saying they were BT, even though I don't have any dealings with them. They've called me thrice today. I told them to stop, but I doubt it'll make much difference.

(Indian/Pakistani accent.) My phone rang, and a voice warned me that my BT internet was about to get cut off. I asked, "Who exactly am I speaking to?" They said BT, from 81 Newgate Street, London. I then asked how close they were to St Paul’s Cathedral (pretty much round the corner). They snapped back, "We’re not here for a natter, sir." I replied, "Actually, YOU rang me first." Then suddenly, they hung up. Classic sign they’re not legit at all. These scammers are awful. We’ve got their number, so why don’t the authorities crack down on them and shut them up?

Got a call asking if our internet was active last night from midnight to around 4 in the morning because there was an attempt to get into our connection.

Had a call from a bloke named Gary claiming he was from BT and wanted to talk about my internet. I just told him to get lost and ended the call. Then I used BT Protect to block his number straight away.

Today at about 1:14pm, I got a call from 01247856584. When I checked with my phone company, they said the number isn't valid. I also used the 1471 ring back feature and it told me "NO SUCH NUMBER" or something like that. Really odd!

I got a call from this number but as soon as I heard some noises in the background, they just hung up.

So this number kept ringing me loads of times, but when I finally picked up and said I was tied up and asked for a callback number, the person just hung straight up. Definitely gave me scam vibes!

I got a call saying my internet might be cut off if I didn’t comply with them. They said my broadband had security problems. The call seemed more convincing than most scam calls I've had before, but it was pretty intimidating. I rang up BT and they told me everything was fine with my broadband.
