For about a week now, I’ve been getting calls 2 or 3 times a day from a number I don’t recognise, and it’s coming through on my unlisted home phone.

Got a phone message from some recorded voice saying my IP address was hacked. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

Had no clue who it was, didn’t leave any message. Guessing it was some kind of nuisance call based on what I found from others here.

Got calls from 01247 847859 twice, but no one spoke when I answered. Then they called again warning my IP was hacked. Sounds dodgy to me, so I just ignored it.

Got a call from a recorded message saying my IP got hacked and they had to fix it to stop fraud. It asked me to hit 1 to go on. Had no doubt it was a scam, so I just hung up. Wish it had been a real person on the line, I would've happily blown my referee’s whistle right in their ear and probably shattered their hearing. Absolute pests!!!

They rang a few times, like three rings each call. But whenever I picked up, nobody said a word, just dead silence every time.

I tried calling back after missing two calls from this number, but when I did, an automated message told me the number wasn’t recognised. Bit odd, really.
