Earlier today, I received a rather unexpected phone call from some bloke who was rambling on about a supposed government initiative for loft insulation. He claimed that I was fortunate enough to qualify for it! Honestly, it felt like a classic scam-it’s all a load of nonsense. There's definitely no such programme out there, and it’s quite alarming how people try to pull these tricks.

Someone rang me up wanting me to verify my home address, but the one they mentioned was nowhere near where I actually live. I didn’t share my real address and decided not to respond to any more of their questions.

I picked up but didn't say a word, just to see what would happen, and the line went dead straight away with no greeting or anything. Seems like either no one was there to answer or it was some sort of robo call checking if my number was active. Pretty sure it was just a pest caller messing about.
