This lady rang me claiming to be from the Government and started asking if I was in Anglesey or Gwynedd. I told her Anglesey isn’t really the name used around here - it’s called Ynys Môn. After that, she just hung up, sounded like English wasn’t her first language anyway.

Then just now, the same woman called again from the same number, asking for him once more and again butchering his name. I just said he wasn’t here and hung up. Got a call from a lady with a thick accent I couldn't quite catch properly. She was trying to get me to say if I lived in Anglesey or Gwynedd - turns out I’m in Gwynedd - but she wouldn’t say exactly why, just something about government money being available. She’s called me 5 times today and twice yesterday, even though I told her right away I wasn’t interested and didn’t confirm my location. I’ve asked her to take me off whatever list she’s using now.

For around a fortnight now, we've been getting nonstop calls from this number near Caernarfon, just as we began our holiday leave! The first time we picked up, the call was immediately dropped. Since then, we've had like four more calls throughout the day that we just leave unanswered. It’s proper annoying and feels a bit like harassment. You'd think BT would do something to block these calls, but maybe they just don’t bother if it’s from a landline and someone’s footing the bill - so in a way, BT still profits. Bit dodgy, innit?

I keep getting calls from this number claiming they’re from some government scheme for homeowners. I told them I don’t own a house, but she just brushed it off and started asking if I live in Anglesey or Gwynedd. The woman sounded American and the number was blocked. Pretty annoying!
