Someone rang me earlier claiming my house was checked by an energy board or something like that. Sounded like a total rip-off so I hung up straight away. By the way, if you get dodgy calls or texts, you can report them by texting 7726 on your phone. Just forward any suspicious text to that number, and if it’s a call, send a text saying “call 01234 567890”. They'll reply saying your complaint’s being looked into.

Watch out! Got a call from someone claiming they were with Carphone Warehouse, but it was obviously a scammer from India. This company never calls out of the blue like that. The dodgy caller was fishing for my card details, especially the last three digits on the back. Never give those out to anyone, no matter what they say!

She didn’t say who she was. The call just started with “Hello, good morning. How are you today?” It’s super obvious these are those dodgy “UK number but not really” calls. If this is genuinely Virgin Media (who btw can’t even get us internet in my brand new estate), then Richard Branson really needs to bring both the call centre and HQ back here, and start paying proper UK taxes. Otherwise, it’s just another spam call!

Got a call early this morning at 7:09, some bloke claiming to be from Virgin Media. He said there was a problem with my router, asked me to count the flashing lights and any static. Told me it seemed alright though. Then he went on about which phone I was using and asked for the phone’s IP address. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.
