Had a call where they wanted me to verify my name, then abruptly ended the conversation. There was quite a ruckus in the background, almost like a celebration.

I reckon this is just another of the countless nuisance calls that no one seems to discuss. The phone rings, I block the number, and it’s the same old tune. There should really be legislation to combat this, particularly for those who are severely disabled and find it a real challenge just to pick up the phone, only to be confronted by some halfwit using the last of their brain power — which might be why they’re stuck in a dead-end job in the first place!

Received a dodgy call from someone purporting to be with Unique Choice. They were rather miffed when I mentioned I was investigating the number! I've since added them to my blocklist.

After the incident, I got in touch with Domestic and General directly, and I can confirm it was indeed a scam attempt.

I've received three calls from Domestic & General Insurance regarding electrical breakdown cover today alone, making it a total of seven calls over the past week. I've repeatedly asked them to cease their incessant calling, and now I've decided to escalate the matter to Ofcom.
