Got a call from an Indian guy who wouldn’t stop banging on about insuring my home gadgets for £95 a year. He kept going on and on, so I finally told him to jog on. He claimed he’s from Assure and General, but when I checked out the company, it’s only been around for a few weeks. Seems a bit iffy to me.

That Johnny Gupta guy and his crew of overseas fraudsters are running that dodgy appliance insurance scam again. They’re ringing us up constantly, and it feels like they’re arriving here by boat from the continent. I used to scoff when my dad warned the country was heading downhill. Now, decades on, he was spot on. These outsiders clearly don’t share the same principles we hold dear. Honestly, someone should just send 'em all to Rwanda!
