Somebody pretending to be from my bank said there was a £300 payment to Amazon and a £1000 overseas transfer flagged as unusual since I don't do stuff like that. Some bloke rang saying he was from 3 Network, wanting to chat about my SIM plan. Asked me what phone I had and how much I was paying monthly. Bit odd as I’ve paid off my phone completely. I told him it’s a SIM only deal, then when I asked how much I’m charged he got all touchy and defensive, like I was being cheeky! I told him if he really worked for 3, he’d know that already. Ended up calling him a muppet and just ended the call.

So I got a call from someone claiming to be Sky, saying there was an issue with my internet. Me: “The iPhone 14 pro max ultra doofinator version.” Caller: It’s only £40 a month. Me: Great, thanks. Caller: If you want to continue, we’ll just need to... Me: Managed to get them to hang up. I knew it was dodgy anyway! Plus, I was in the middle of washing my beard at that moment!
