Received a call from someone purporting to be from a UK mobile service, claiming they had some fantastic offers. Interestingly, I got another call from a different number, 01270316542, making the same pitch. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Just had a call purporting to be from my bank, flagging a dodgy transaction of £300 to Amazon and a £1000 international money order. They said it looked suspicious since it's not the sort of thing I usually do. They wanted me to press a button to speak to their security team. Then, an hour later, I received an identical call but from a different number! I've blocked both; it's clearly a scam.

Didn't leave a voicemail, just a scammer trying their luck.

Received a dodgy call today posing as Curry's/PC World, asking about my phone contract. Definitely a scam!

I simply let the call come through without picking up, as I didn’t recognise the number. It’s the same old tale – they seem to cut off after a mere 20 seconds if nobody responds.

I picked up the phone without checking, thinking it was my doctor's office. The chap on the other end said he was representing Carphone Warehouse. I swiftly cut him off, telling him I had no interest. To my surprise, he responded with a rather rude "Drop dead" before slamming the phone down. Quite the charmer, isn't he?

The line was all static and no chatter. They just cut the call on me.

Had a rather peculiar phone call from this number around 4:45 this afternoon. The individual on the other end claimed to be representing Curry’s. When I pressed him on how he got my number, he said it was from my missus. Naturally, I told him that couldn't possibly be the case, which clearly rattled him since he then turned quite aggressive.
