I received a call from a gentleman with an accent that seemed to have Indian roots. He struggled to say my surname, repeatedly asking for Mrs. ******. Curious, I inquired who was on the line, but all they wanted was a simple yes or no answer. Sensing something was off, I hung up and promptly decided to block the number—most likely a scam!

I got a call around 8:46 in the morning, claiming that my broadband was under attack and being accessed by an unauthorised individual. The chap on the line insisted I should hop onto my computer to address the issue. I quickly piped up, saying, "I find that hard to believe! I'm off to work, so why don't you actually get yourself a proper job instead of harassing me, you scoundrel?" and promptly ended the call.

A caller purporting to be from Zone Wall contacted me, insisting that I needed to improve my computer's performance. I recognised the number, as I had received a similar call just the other week from someone claiming to be associated with Virgin Media, who alarmingly suggested my broadband was compromised. The person on the line couldn't even confirm my name, citing data protection regulations as an excuse. It’s shocking how these individuals operate; they clearly lack any sense of ethics and are nothing short of a nuisance.

Received three calls yesterday. I tend to steer clear of answering if the number isn't familiar - I just let it go to voicemail, though nothing came through this time. So, I've decided to ignore them completely. Just had a peek on Who Called Me? and it’s pretty obvious what’s going on!

I had a peculiar experience recently with a woman who had a strong accent, surrounded by what sounded like a chorus of other foreign voices in the background. She claimed to be calling from Amazon, but I firmly told her, ‘That’s not true,’ and lo and behold, the call cut off immediately. Definitely a con, in my opinion.

I’m convinced this is one of those dodgy broadband scams. I received a call from some bloke in Asia who was asking about my Virgin broadband speed (which I don’t even have!). When I tried to return the call, I was met with a message stating, "Service not available at present." Definitely a scam!
