Total scam alert! They said they were from Carphone Warehouse, but I just spoke to the legit Carphone Warehouse a few days ago and there was no way they had such a thick Indian accent like that bloke did. If it was genuine, they’d have known my phone model since I’m already on a contract with them. When I called him out, the guy just got rude instead of giving any proper answers. Sorted it by blocking and forgot all about it.

Told them to take me off their list following GDPR rules and they just ended the call! Feels like a proper scam if you ask me!

Got a call from this number and I picked up. As soon as I did, there was a robotic voice telling me to leave a message after the beep. But I didn’t call them, they called me! Weird thing is, my call log is showing that I dialled them, which makes no sense at all. Something seems off here. I’ve decided to block the number now. After getting loads of calls from this number, i finally picked up. The person on the other end said they were with some ‘phone preference service’ and asked me to verify my name and address and stuff. Then they tried to get my bank card info, saying it was just to double-check details. I wasn’t having any of it and refused repeatedly. Eventually, they just cut off. Honestly, best thing is to just not bother answering, or if you do, let them talk for a bit then tell them to jog on.

Got a few odd ringers from 01235300016, 01235300462 and 01235300024 lately. Think it's probably the same lot who were ringing before from 01353700014 and 01873400017. Honestly, all I've had are silent calls or just silence when I pick up. It's annoying enough to call it harassment, even if it might be a bit of a laugh, it’s still proper worrying for folks in their 50s and up.

I picked up the phone and this Asian woman said she was calling from the telephone preference service. She asked if I was still getting annoying calls. I said yes, and then she started talking about upgrading the service. I quickly ended the call because it just sounded like a scam trying to get your bank info or card details to rip you off. Just a heads up to be careful.

Got three calls this morning all from similar area codes. The first two were from 01236 300016 and 01235 300462, then just now 01235 300024 rang me. Didn't know these numbers or where they're from, so I just let them ring out. After looking them up here, I’ve blocked them. Pretty sure I’ll be getting more annoying calls from these same nuisance numbers though.
