I ended up blocking this number along with any quite similar ones that only had different last two digits. It's one of those TPS scams where they try and swipe your card info. Watch out for them!

Had a ring from some bloke claiming to be from a call blocking service, said he’d help stop all the spam calls. He got my address totally wrong and didn’t seem happy when I said I wouldn’t give him my correct details. Then he threatened that he’d take money out of my account the next day. Hung up on him quick smart!

I got a couple of calls from this number, they wanted my bank details like sort code and account number, said it was for identification.

Got a few calls, like 3, from someone saying they could block calls, but then started asking for my bank details and sort code, sounded like a scam to me. I told the bloke no straight away, but he wouldn’t stop going on about some number beneath my name or something. Proper persistent, so I just hung up. Then he had the nerve to ring back again, what a muppet!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from TPS. They had my name and address, which freaked me out at first, but then they started questioning me about my old debit card and asked for my new info. I hung up straight away. They called back right after I ended the call, so I just ignored it. On their third call, my husband picked up and they just hung up. Definitely sounds dodgy to me. Why on earth would the TPS be after your bank details? Total scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the TPS. They actually had my full name and address, which was a bit worrying. Then he asked if I was still using a bank card that expires on ####. I just told him I don’t talk about bank stuff over the phone and ended the call. Almost straight away, within a couple of mins, he rang back but I just ignored it.

A man with an Indian accent called saying he was from the Telephone Preference Service. He asked if I was Mr B, who apparently used to have this phone. When I told him I wasn't, he kept pushing for my name so they could "update their records." I just refused to give him any details.

Definitely sounded like a call centre. The person began with "I'm calling on behalf of the..." but then totally blanked on who it was for! I told them I was on the TPS list and knew it was all fake, then just ended the call.
