Loads of businesses seem to use this number whenever they want to hide their real number, like Cardwell's Estate Agents, Minster Products and even Auto Trader! Honestly, the list goes on and on. I think this number might not actually belong to any one person, which is probably why it keeps popping up on caller ID but there's no real answer to why.

Got a call saying they were from my local council about shielding letters. I was tied up with something else so told the woman to hang on. By the time I returned to the phone, the call had ended. I then tried ringing 01234567890 back but the number didn't come up as valid. After looking up the number online, I realised it’s actually dodgy.

The classic Nigerian Prince story is just a sneaky trick to steal cash, personal info, and bank details. I received a rather dubious call today from someone purporting to represent Open Reach, supposedly on behalf of Virgin, BT, and a plethora of other broadband providers. They spun a tale about my internet being switched off within the next day due to some alleged suspicious activity. I didn’t stick around for more of their nonsense. To make matters worse, the same bloke rang me back three times before I finally decided to block the number. For goodness' sake!

I received a rather peculiar call from someone claiming to be called Nathan Mathews, supposedly representing Amazon. He proceeded to rattle off his Amazon ID and a cancellation number for an order I had allegedly made with a firm based in Liverpool that I've heard whispers about being dodgy. He insisted on transferring me to his security team to discuss matters further. At that point, my instincts kicked in, and I started to feel like I might be on the receiving end of a scam. So, I decided to hang up and managed to retrieve his number using the 1471 service. Quite the dodgy affair, if you ask me!

Somebody said they were from Amazon, saying I'd bought an iPhone at half past six this morning. I nearly felt bad for him! He sounded really unsure, like he kept looking at some script for what to say next. I went along with it for a bit then told him I was done with his scam call. I had a similar experience. It all sounded quite legit since I do have Amazon Prime, they claimed my subscription was about to renew at £39.99 and offered to help me cancel it by giving my membership info. I told them they should already have that since they called me, then it clicked and I ended the call. Surprisingly, they rang again a few minutes later, didn’t hold back my annoyance the second time!

Total rip off, said they were from BT and that my dad’s internet was compromised, tried gettin access to my PC to show some IP stuff. Had a good telling off for scamming old people. Someone needs to track this number down and report it for sure.

Got a call from this number today. Some bloke with a British accent saying he was from BT, claiming our router was acting up and to press 1 to know more. Why do these muppets keep making these annoying calls? Sort yourselves out and find a real job!

I just got a call from this number regarding heating and energy savings. The guy said if I swapped my windows, I’d get some cash back. Made me wonder, why not just take the money off straight away then? He said his name was Jerry. Didn’t buy anything from him.

Here we go once more. This number popped up on my caller ID and I just knew it was a scam straight away. What a bunch of muppets!!! You'd think they'd realise that using such a blatant number just makes everyone suspicious but nope, these tossers must be proper dim. It's a shame nothing’s being done about these wankers who seem to get their kicks from pestering folks. I've blocked the number now.
