This lot purport to be from Car Phone Warehouse and are dangling the prospect of a complimentary iPhone 13 in exchange for signing up to a ludicrous contract. They’re asking for your bank information too, which raises a few eyebrows, doesn’t it? Sounds a bit dodgy to me!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was from Virgin Media. Feels like it’s connected to another call I got earlier today from 01582506722, where a bloke said he was from BT Internet, same kind of sketchy Indian call centre tone. They’re just guessing which internet provider I use, it’s so obvious it’s a total scam. Proper rubbish!

01229 200026 Just received a call from what appeared to be a marketing firm; the name was something akin to ONTEX or thereabouts. I certainly wasn't anticipating a call from the Barrow-In-Furness region. The caller became rather irritable when I expressed my lack of interest. The call was terminated shortly thereafter. I highly recommend you block this number to avoid any future annoyance.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Phone Co, supposedly out of Barrow-in-Furness. When I asked if that was true, they said yes. I wasn’t very polite and told them this was the third dodgy call I’d had in two days from their lot, then they just hung up on me. I’ve also had calls from 01244 422029 (Chester, rang at 10:44 today) and one from 01235 300026 yesterday. Quite annoyed with these repeated scams.

Got a call from what sounded like an Indian woman, saying she was calling from the Phone Company about improving my bill. This was one of three nearly identical calls I got over two days, so pretty sure it was a scam. I didn’t hold back and told her to do one, not exactly politely either. Very annoying!

I got this call from someone saying they were from Currys, offering me an iPhone 13, but it felt off. A while back, I had a similar thing happen with people pretending to be from Carphone Warehouse. They actually sent me a phone, but then said they’d made a mistake and came to pick it up. After that, they just stopped answering my calls. On top of that, Vodafone has charged me several times, which is really annoying.
