About 15 minutes back, I got a ring from some bloke claiming to be James at First Assist. He had my first name and said I’d been in a car crash within the last 3 years. Complete nonsense as I haven't even been living here for over three and a half years. It’s shocking how these dodgy firms manage to get hold of our personal info. They only kinda got my name right, but I never said it out loud. I kept asking who was on the line, but they wouldn't say till I said my name first. It was a bit of a standoff, and then they just ended the call. Funny how that went!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a national accident register, asking if I’d been in an accident in the past 3 years. When I asked them for more info like what vehicle or where it supposedly happened, they didn’t have any details. I told them I wasn’t going to chat if they couldn’t provide basics like that. Clearly a scam coz I haven’t had an accident in that time. When I said that, they snapped back with ‘why didn’t you say so earlier instead of wasting my time’ before hanging up. I told them to go find a proper job!

They claimed they wanted to discuss a road accident I supposedly had in the last few years, or an incident at work. Thing is, I haven’t had any accidents either on the road or at work, so I told them to take me off their list. They said they got my info from some database from First Direct.
