Had a call today claiming to be from HMRC with some legal issue, even left a voicemail. I’m a chartered accountant and can say without a doubt it’s a scam. Definitely don’t share any personal info or your bank details with them. It’s a total fraud.

Last year I got a call from this number and I looked it up on here, found out it was a scam. Now he's ringing back again this year, so I told him I know what he's up to and to stop bothering me.

Hey! I just called the number back, 701227 390443 or whatever it was, and some guy with an Indian accent picked up saying “thank you for calling HMRC today.” I was like, seriously? Thought this kinda scam was meant to be banned by now. Seems like it’s even getting worse. Gonna warn everyone I know about this crap.

I got a call from Dennis Gray on 01227 390443 at about 8.23 on 23 Jan, but it went to voicemail. Later, I saw I missed a call from the same number, and they said they were from HMRC, saying it was urgent about customs and revenue. I tried ringing them back twice around 10.53am, but the call just got ended immediately both times. Seems a bit dodgy to me.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from HMRC, called himself Dennis Key or whatever. I just didn’t bother ringing back.
