I received a call from someone claiming to be with Curry's Mobile. Their accent was quite thick, but I managed to grasp that they were inquiring about the model of my phone. So, I got a call from a woman talking about a recent hospital visit of mine. I said "sorry, the line sounds terrible" and then she just disconnected on me. When I dialled back, I played a clip where someone said you can't have two calls on the same number at once - then they hung up abruptly. Some bloke said he was from Three mobile and said they were giving away phones. When I asked what it was about, he got all shouty, saying I’d be fined if I didn’t say what phone I had. Then when I just laughed, he started swearing at me, calling me all sorts of names. Totally smells like a scam. Funny thing is, they’re not as clever as they think and get annoyed super quick. Anyway, I’ve blocked the number now.
