01226 822015 - 13/6/22 10:18 SCAM - bloke with a thick Indian accent claiming he was calling from Carphone Warehouse saying there was a 'special one time deal' on. I told him to quit messing about cos it wasn't Carphone Warehouse, obviously a scam, and to stop bothering me. The guy just ended the call.

Got a dodgy call - the number seemed legit but it was a clone. Some bloke with a foreign accent trying to get my bank info for a ‘brilliant’ phone deal. I picked up on my missus’s phone instead, and he got all flustered cos he was expecting a bloke. Then he just hung up. Bloody annoying!

Got a call from a Barnsley number and when I called back, they said they were from ‘national communications’. The guy sounded fine at first but then started rattling on super fast with a load of rubbish that made no sense, clearly trying to baffle me. Once he saw I wasn’t falling for it, he just hung up right away. Totally a scam. Stay well clear!

Got conned by this firm supposed to deliver an iphone 13 from 3, but what turned up was a samsung phone and tablet I never asked for from vodafone. Rang carphone warehouse, wasn't them. Then 3 investigated and started a fraud case. Contacted my bank and had my card replaced. Vodafone warned me to watch out for calls from the scam lot trying to get phones sent to someone else's address. They also took £51 from my account and still no refund in sight!

Got a call from overseas but it looked like it was from Barrow-in-Furness. The person on the line was Indian and claimed to be from ‘Carphone Warehouse’. I've had loads of unwanted calls from these lot, never even been a customer, so no idea how they got my number. Maybe they bought it or just dialled randomly. Told them to take me off their list, but they rang me the very next day from a number that was only a tiny bit different!
