Got a call on my private line from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from, surprise surprise, Carphone Warehouse. When I was sceptical, she insisted she was legit and asked for my email to prove it. Yeah right, not happening! I hung up in the end but it got me thinking how they even got hold of my number. Funny thing is, my mobile's due for an upgrade at the end of the month, so I wondered if maybe someone at Three (they have their call centre in India too) sold my details to another company to earn a bit extra? Who knows, really.
