I've just had a call from some chap with a thick Asian accent, and it was quite a challenge to make sense of what he was saying. It was clear straight away that it was a dodgy attempt to sell me an iPhone deal, but I decided to humour him, as is my wont. He began probing for my personal information, and I replied, "You're the one ringing me – surely you should already have my details!" At that, he promptly ended the call.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, touting a deal on iPhone trade-ins for £40. When I mentioned that I wasn't an iPhone user, they pressed on about what phone I did have. I promptly ended the conversation, as I noticed the apparent call centre background noise and discerned a strong Asian accent. What truly raised red flags was that he didn’t even know my name, which made me feel quite uneasy about the legitimacy of the call.

Had a rather unsettling call with a voice that ominously declared, "I'm the scam artist, and here's how I operate."

Received a call from someone purporting to be from Carphone Warehouse. When I firmly told her to leave me alone, she didn’t take it well. I thought I’d cut off communication by blocking the number, only for her to ring me back from a different line, insisting I ought to get lost. What a disgrace! These people are nothing but shameless scammers.
