On Monday 23rd August 2021 at 10:10, I got a call on my mobile from 01225583184. They claimed they wanted to hook me up with an upgrade on my phone contract, but I quickly worked out it was a scam when they wrongly told me I was with EE!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Vodafone upgrades, saying because of Covid-19 they had special clearance to do upgrades since the shops were closed. I've been a Vodafone customer for 4 years and never had a call like this before, plus I usually reach out to them myself. So I just ended the call straight away.

Somebody called saying they were from ‘compare the network’ or something like that, trying to pitch lockdown deals on mobiles. I just told them to stop and slapped a block on their number.

My phone buzzed with a call from this number, I decided not to pick up and they never bothered to leave a voicemail or anything.

I got a call from a robotic bloke claiming to be from HMRC, sounded really threatening. The message exactly matched what others have reported about HMRC scams. Please, don’t hand over any personal info, even if they insist they’re from HMRC.
