Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, said she was from the housing department at first, but then switched to saying she was from a housing repair firm. She asked about some repairs I supposedly needed, but when I asked her a few questions, she immediately hung up. Definite scam, watch out!

I received a rather insistent call from an Indian gentleman who rang me thrice within a mere 10 minutes. Quite forward and rather impolite, he was! He claimed to represent my electricity supplier, yet he couldn't even specify who that was. Best to steer clear of such calls; I've now blocked the number to ensure I’m not troubled again. Cheers! 😊

This isn't a legitimate Bath number at all; it’s actually an Indian call centre masquerading with a bogus UK number to trick you into trusting them. Moreover, they also have another deceptive number they use, "0208 114 7792." When they ring me, I make it abundantly clear how I feel about their calls, yet they just keep coming back. It's as though the meaning of FOAD completely escapes them!

Had a really unpleasant call from this number. When I told them the manager wasn't here, they just started swearing at me. From what I’ve heard lately, this number is linked to some energy company trying to get people to switch providers. I’m definitely going to report it to the regulator, hope they do something about these annoying spam calls.

The number 0122 558 2872 claimed to be from the UK energy services. They phoned my wife saying they were a government department and mentioned there was a complaint about our energy provider charging us extra, and that they were sorting it out. My wife asked them to call back when I was home. When they rang again, they couldn’t even name our company or who supplies our energy. Seems like a new tactic to target businesses for energy contracts. I’m definitely reporting this.

Received a call today from someone claiming to be from "National Grid Station," wanting to speak to "the manager." The caller had a distinctive Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi accent and asserted they were contacting me on behalf of Ofwat, the water oversight authority. They mentioned there had been some reports about gas overcharging and asked for my details to investigate my meter. It’s worth noting I’ve had a few similar calls from different numbers lately. I ended up terminating the conversation after informing them that I’d already spoken with them before. I added that I'd arranged for new meters to be fitted at my business premises and suggested they do a quick online check, as the entire street is currently undergoing work by British Gas (which is absolutely true-there’s plenty of digging going on!). They seemed rather perturbed and promptly hung up.

Received a rather dubious phone call from someone claiming to be from "National Grid Station." They were after the person in charge and seemed to be of South Asian descent-either Indian, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi. They insisted they were working for Ofwat, the water regulator, saying there was an issue with alleged overcharging on gas usage and that they needed some details to launch an investigation into my meter. Interestingly, I've been inundated with similar calls from various numbers recently. I decided to cut them off mid-sentence, explaining I was already aware of the situation and had taken steps to have new meters fitted at my business premises. I informed them that they could easily check online to confirm that British Gas is currently redoing the entire street. All of this is indeed accurate; the road is practically a construction site! Well, they didn't take kindly to that and swiftly hung up. Quite the encounter, don’t you think?
