I got a call from someone claiming to be from Public Health in London, but the number that showed up was actually from Aberdeen. I questioned if they meant Public Health England since that’s not a thing anymore, but the person insisted they were from Public Health on Victoria Street. I was curious and decided to play along, asking about covid vaccines and if there had been any complaints or side effects reported with the GP. Suddenly, the conversation turned to private health insurance and life cover, which I do have, but I told them I didn’t. They quickly said, “Don’t worry, I’m not trying to sell you anything,” then asked who my provider was. I didn’t want to share any more info, so I just said no and ended the call. It was quite strange overall.

This number has rung me up three times now. The first call started with questions about my Covid situation, then quickly shifted to insurance stuff. When I said I already got insurance sorted, they pushed on asking how much and which company. I just told them that was private and they ended the call. They rang again later, and I told them to take my number off their list because I wasn't interested in whatever they were selling. Got a missed call from them again today.

I’ve gotten nearly ten calls from this group, all from different numbers. They claim to be from the “NHS support team” and rush straight into asking if I’ve had all my jabs. Every time I ask who they’re actually representing, they just cut me off. I’ve reported them a bunch of times but doubt anything will come of it. It’s really cruel to target vulnerable folks and exploit a deadly virus as an excuse to push stuff or whatever their agenda is. No matter how desperate they are, I can’t imagine anyone doing this and not feeling terrible about it later.

When I asked to confirm who she was, she claimed she was from the NHS COVID 19 Helpdesk and said they’d be updating my records. Then I tried to check what address they had for me, and she just ended the call. Fishy behaviour if you ask me.
