Some bloke called Daniel said he was from Manchester, but then why was the call showing up as from Aberdeen? Classic dodgy call masking scam if you ask me. I usually just ask them if they know Jim Browning or Perogie to see what they say.

After seeing what folks wrote here, I decided to block the number straight away.

I got a call from some bloke saying he was from a debt collection agency, telling me I owe money on some unsecured debt. He said his name was Daniel, sounded like an Asian guy. The number showed it was from Aberdeen but he didn't sound Scottish at all, though most of what he said was really hard to catch. I just hung up straight away cos I don’t have any debts.

Then they went ahead and insulted me with an Irish C word - might be true, but doesn’t give them the right! Didn’t hang about, reported it and blocked the number straight away.

He then launched into some spiel about a credit investigation, but I didn't hang around for the whole performance and just ended the call. Quite the cunning lot, these scammers!
