He mentioned that insulation had recently been put in my loft. When I informed him that I don't actually have a loft, he abruptly ended the conversation.

Got a call but nobody said a word, just silence. Figured it was one of those pesky telemarketers again. Bit irritating, but honestly, not as bad as being stuck with a bad smell in a lift.

Got a call from a man with an Asian accent saying my washing machine’s warranty was about to run out and I could extend it with him. Problem is, I don’t even have a warranty on my washer! I asked him which brand he had listed for me, and he guessed completely wrong. When I told him he’d got the wrong one, he just said sorry for the mix-up and ended the call.

Received two calls from this number within the span of an hour. Didn't recognise it, so I opted to send it to voicemail. They didn’t leave behind any message, though. Quite odd!

Yet another scam call from someone with a strong Indian accent, you can spot them straight away. Seems like a lot of fraud cases come from people with Indian backgrounds, here in the UK and also in Canada. If you’re unsure, just have a look on YouTube or search on Google, there’s plenty of info out there backing this up.

Received yet another call from an utter silence; it seems to be happening far too often of late. I stayed on the line for a good eight minutes, purely out of curiosity to see if anyone at the other end would pipe up. Alas, just a dead line, which leads me to believe it’s yet another fraudster using some form of automated dialler. Well, by me hanging on, I've potentially spared others from this annoyance. I've made sure to report the number thoroughly and added it to my block list.

Got a call from a bloke who said his name was Steve and was asking about my washing machine insurance with D&G. Problem is, I don’t have any insurance with that company! I made sure to tell him that. Felt like a sketchy call, maybe one of those dodgy ‘boiler room’ scams.

Got a call from this number early today around 7.58am but no voicemail left. Looks like it’s just another one from those dodgy D&G washing machine warranty scammers. They've been ringing several numbers here, hitting us up about twice daily for the past two weeks. We don’t have call blocking set up yet, but after this, I’m really thinking about getting it done!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent asking for my missus. Said it was regarding Domestic & General. When I told him we don’t deal with them, he just ended the call.
