I got a call from someone saying they were from a charity and asked if I wanted to give some money. I told them no and hung up. It’s not that I’m against donating, but I don’t do it over the phone or internet because I’m worried it might be a scam. I prefer to give to charities in my local area instead.

This call seemed to come from some place called Verso Group, which I think is run by a guy in the States. They just seem to be after leads to sell off to different firms. I decided to block the number because it’s just a nuisance, constantly trying to get info. Really annoying!

Got a call from some bloke claiming to work for a firm but he never actually told me which one. He kept insisting I give him my bank details to 'verify' something. Definitely sounded dodgy to me, no way I’m falling for that scam.

I tried ringing back and got a voicemail with an American accent, something about "Verso group" I think. So I just ended up blocking the number.

Got this call from an Indian call centre agent who kept saying I sounded quite young, but then guessed I was about ten years older than I really am - bit annoying that. They had some old address details and were asking loads about energy companies. At one point, they asked if I’d be ok with Scottish Power ringing me to chat about switching energy providers eventually. Felt a bit odd to be honest.

This lady was going way too fast and I just couldn’t keep up, so I hung up. She had an address that’s at least twenty years old and kept trying to find out my age. When I questioned who she was and what she wanted, she just talked right over me. Honestly, just don’t pick up and block the number straight away.
