Got a call on my mobile from this number, but coz I didn’t know who it was and wasn’t waiting for any calls, I just ignored it. I always think if it’s important they’ll leave a voicemail and I can ring back. No voicemail showed up, and after seeing what others said here, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from this number just after 4pm today, 3rd August. It was a bloke with an Indian accent who kept messing up how he said my name, muttering something about PPI. Why he even bothered ringing from up in the north of Scotland is beyond me, definitely sounds like a scam to me.

THEY RING ME ALL THE TIME. THE MOMENT I SAY HI, THEY JUST CUT OFF. THIS HAPPENS LIKE DAILY. I'M 74 AND ON A PENSION, NOT SURE WHY THESE SO-CALLED INDIAN SCAMMERS KEEP DOING IT. Got woken up by some scammer again, and just as I picked up they ended the call. These annoying calls are so frustrating!

Some guy with an Asian accent called, said his name was Jack and claimed he was from call guardian. He already knew loads about my elderly mum (she’s fallen for scams a few times before) and wanted to verify her card number. He told me the fee for this blocking service was supposedly on her phone bill but just needed to "confirm" the info! Complete scam, watch out!

Got a call a minute ago, they asked for me by my first name. The person on the phone had a strong Asian accent that was quite hard to follow. I asked her to say it again, but I still couldn’t catch what she was saying. As soon as I said that, she just ended the call.

Mrs Randall got a call saying her phone company had shut down and they needed to see how much she was being charged. They asked if they could get on her computer, but she said no. She then rang us, her actual provider, to let us know. We looked up the number and tried ringing back, but it said it’s no longer in use. This is obviously a scam, and everyone should be careful.
