Some bloke called asking to talk to my husband, who’s passed away. I told him straight he was dead and to stop ringing. He got all cheeky and said he’d keep calling morning and night, then asked what I was gonna do about it. I told him I’d report him and asked how he managed to sleep at night. He just laughed and said he sleeps every morning and night, chuckling the whole time. It really upset me, honestly.

Got a call from Johnny Gupta and his crew of P4ki scammers, asking for some bloke named Clarke Wilmott. Funny enough, I know that name belongs to a big UK law firm with offices everywhere - but these lot are total con artists. They’re pestering us both over the phone and sneaking in across the Channel in small boats. I used to chuckle when my dad moaned that "the country's going downhill," but now, sadly, he had a point. These outsiders just don't share our values at all. Honestly, the sooner Rwanda gets involved, the better!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to work in the warranty department. I asked her which company she was from, but she just kept saying "warranty department" over and over. She mentioned she'd send me something by mail, so I told her to go ahead and hung up after that.

A caller rang me about renewing my white goods insurance, supposedly with some sort of discount. When I asked where they were from, they said Eversmart Appliances based in London. They also told me I could check the number on their website. I kept telling them I suspected they had the wrong details since I’d never come across Eversmart Appliances before. The person on the phone was quite polite and kept trying to convince me, but finally gave up.

This company seems abit clueless about their own service. I got a call about renewing my washing machine warranty and funny enough I had just bought a brand new washer a couple of hours earlier, so I said no thanks to the cover, which was almost as pricey as the actual machine! I've never bothered with these types of warranties since you need one for every item separately. I reckon it's better to save that money and just buy a new appliance if the old one stops working.

I gave it a whirl to return the call, but it seems the number is inactive. An automated female voice responded, and my screen flashed a message saying the server's unavailable. It’s likely they’re using some form of number spoofing via IP.

I had a rather unfortunate encounter with MAUK, as they were allegedly informed by Aig about the accident I experienced last year. When I requested their company details, including registration and address, they were quite evasive. The representative kept asking why I needed the address, implying if I was planning a visit to their office. I responded, quite baffled, that I’m based in Manchester-what on earth would I want to go there for?! Best to steer clear of this lot; they give off strong scam vibes!
