Got a call from someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse. The conversation had loads of awkward silences like he was either dealing with loads of calls at once or reading off a script. When i asked about the reasons for ringing and mentioned the TPS, he went quiet for a bit then just hung up without even saying sorry.

I held the line to waste time on a scam call so they couldn't target someone more gullible. The guy said he got my contact through Three, which is who I’m with right now. He was trying to pitch me an iPhone 13 Pro Max deal for £45 a month, unlimited everything. Yeah, right, like that’s ever going to be legit 🤦‍♂️. I asked him, “If you really work at a phone shop, then you should know my name. So, what's it?” and then he just hung up on me. Claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse, but when I tried calling that number back, it picked up with a message saying “Thank you for calling National Communications.” Totally dodgy.
