I received a rather persistent call from someone at Carphone Warehouse, their accent was quite thick and distinctly Indian. They were trying to entice me with a deal to upgrade my iPhone. When I pushed back a bit, the tone of the caller took a rather hostile turn. Quite an odd encounter!

Just got a dodgy call from someone calling himself Dave, claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse - total scammer from India. Funny enough, the day before I’d get a similar call from a London number, but obviously these numbers are fake and don’t show where they’re actually calling from. When I called Dave out on his scam, he started making weird cat noises and then cut me off. So yeah, not just a conman but a bit bonkers too.
