Oddly, the caller keeps showing my landline as the contact, which is strange since I hardly ever use that phone or share that number. I’m not really sure how to block calls on a landline but I’m going to look into it, for sure. We've been getting loads of calls from someone claiming to be a 'Local Energy Adviser'. 01223678797 called me claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Nuisance call unit. He asked me to verify some info. I wasn't convinced, told him I didn’t trust the call, said thanks and then ended the call.

Totally a scammer, said they were from the Telephone Preference Service and tried selling me some “upgrade” to block spam calls!!! They called me 3 times this morning. On the third call I said I’ll look it up on the TPS website, then he just hung up. I’m going to report them to TPS for sure.

Just got a call this morning from this number, probably gonna get loads more. Yesterday I kept getting rings from two numbers that were almost the same. Picked one up but it was dead silent. Not picking up again for sure.

Got a call from this bloke today. Said he was from some sort of nuisance call regulator and asked if I’ve been getting annoying calls. Well yeah mate, you’re definitely one of the pests causing them!!!

Really grateful for BT call protect. They rang me seven times yesterday and every call got sent straight to my junk voicemail. Weird thing is, they never left a single message.

Same here, loads of calls pretending they're from TPS. They've also dialled from a number very similar but with the last digit as 6 instead of 7, and from the 01226 area code too.

This number is definitely a scammer - it called me about 7 times yesterday. I have BT call blocking set up, but this morning I let the call go through. It was a bloke with an overseas accent claiming to be from BT. I nicely told him to stop calling or I’d have to report it to the Police.

Just had a few days off from these pests but now they’re back at it, these scammers keep ringing me up saying they’re from TPS. It’s really getting me down, especially as I’m an older woman in my seventies. I’m already signed up to TPS, so why can’t they do something to stop these nasty crooks pretending to be them and trying to get my bank info? TPS is meant to be a free thing, they would never ask for bank details over the phone.

I just looked at my phone and this number rang me 7 times yesterday. I had call Guardian on, so the calls never connected since they didn’t say who they were. Looks like another scam that’s doing the rounds. I’ve blocked the number now. Cheers for the info!

Got another call from this company, number 1, like yesterday, and then 8 more in the last 20 mins. Their phone code says Cambridge. The last caller just now was some guy from India, and I didn't hold back telling him to buzz off and quit calling me.
