This number kept ringing me over a few days. When I picked up, they said they had my info from an insurance renewal and that I’d made a claim in the past two years. That’s not true at all, but they still kept pushing, suggesting I might’ve been a passenger in a crash or something. They refused to say who they actually worked for or which insurer they were with. Feels like harassment and maybe even a scam. Worst part is, I reckon they’ll sell whatever dodgy info they’ve got on me. Thinking of changing my phone number because of this.

A woman rang me saying I’d been involved in a small accident and that she got this from my insurance renewal. I told her I haven’t had any sort of accident, big or small. She said she’d check. Then I asked which insurance firm she was talking about. She said she couldn’t say as she doesn’t work for them! I told her if you’re saying this is on my insurance renewal, you should know the company! It’s a load of rubbish. I get calls like this all the time, whether I’m at work or not. Why do they still let these calls through? I’m always having to block numbers.

Received a call from 01210592320. A young lady claimed she’d found on some RTA records that I’d been involved in a recent accident. I asked what the RTA stood for and she said ‘Road Traffic Accident department’. I kept questioning ‘department of what exactly?’, ‘where’s it located?’, ‘what’s their address?’ but she just kept pushing for me to confirm the accident. Eventually she just ended the call. For the record, I haven't been in any accident.

Had this lady from Australia ringing me up, convinced I'd been in some accident. I just played along for a bit, then told her to hang on while I chased my turkey that had somehow gotten out of its pen. I started making turkey sounds down the phone and shouting “come back here, you silly bird!” for a good few minutes. Gotta say, she stuck around on the line which was quite amusing. After that, we had a chat about turkeys - I asked if they even have them over there, and she kept insisting about this crash. I mentioned my turkey once had a mishap and asked if he had insurance; she said no, so I told her I wasn’t interested unless he was covered. She got a bit annoyed at my tone and I just kept clucking and gobbling whenever she spoke, saying my turkey was causing a ruckus and I couldn’t calm him down. This went on for about 10 minutes altogether. This is usually my go-to when I get these calls, the longest one I had lasted over 15 minutes! It’s well funny, I reckon you should pick up and ask about turkeys next time - might get the same confused woman and have a laugh. Caller from Cambridge, UK by the way.
