I received a phone call from someone purporting to be with the NHS, who indicated they were checking in on my Covid-19 vaccination details. This individual proceeded to grill me with numerous health-related questions and even inquired about my life insurance plan. It felt rather dubious-definitely a phishing attempt!

Somebody called me claiming I'd been picked randomly by O2 as a 'lucky number'. They said I could get some sort of deal for £6 each month. The bloke had a funny accent and I'm not even an O2 customer, so I figured it was a load of nonsense.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with NHS Future Plans, said they knew my name. The person sounded Indian. They started asking about whether I’d had the vaccine, then went on to ask if anyone else in my flat was vaccinated. After that, they wanted to know the ages of everyone living here, if I had life insurance, which provider and how much I was paying. They kept pushing that what they needed was genuine, but it all felt off.

She kept trying to trick me by mentioning wrong details, hoping I’d set her right, but I just ended the call. I deal with the NHS all the time, so they definitely have my details already - it’s obvious this was a scam. Really hope they catch these people soon, it’s totally illegal and proper shady to pretend to be the NHS like this.

Today I finally answered with a saucepan and a metal spoon making a racket against the speaker - that seemed to do the trick because they hung up straight away! I received a rather lengthy call about supposedly updating NHS information. I didn't provide any details since I'm certain my records are current with my GP. However, it was rather unsettling when they mentioned my childhood address! They went on to inquire whether I'd had the vaccine and then awkwardly asked for my insurance particulars, which immediately raised my suspicions - this is the UK, not the States! I received a call from an Indian woman who introduced herself as being from the "NHS, National Health Service." Quite suspicious, if you ask me, especially considering she kept repeating the full title. She proceeded to ask me a series of questions regarding Covid, but interestingly, she already knew my name! After a brief moment, she abruptly disconnected the call after requesting my thoughts on the NHS’s Covid services. When I tried to return the call, I was met with an automated message from a male voice saying something about "We are GSK...," presumably GlaxoSmithKline? It just left me spinning in circles, as the system offered no option for a proper call back. Quite baffling!

I answered a phone call from a bloke with a rather pronounced accent who claimed to be affiliated with the NHS. He was aware of my name, but I wasn't willing to confirm anything for him. He then posed a rather leading query: "You've received your vaccinations, haven't you?" So, I countered with a question of my own: "And why do you need to know?" He responded by saying they were conducting 'research' regarding the vaccinations and then inquired whether I had experienced any side effects. I reckon he lost interest when I continued to reply with questions of my own-eventually, he just hung up! It’s quite low to exploit the NHS and the pandemic in an attempt to pry personal details from people!
