Got a few calls from this number but then it just dropped off and never rang again!

The guy on the line insisted I’d asked for the call and called me a “valued customer.” I told him straight up he was lying, which seemed to throw him a bit. I received a call not too long ago from someone claiming to be from SSE, my energy provider. They were quite keen on retrieving my bank information, but fortunately, I decided to provide them with some made-up digits. They accepted them without a hitch, which made it all too clear that it was a scam. What a cheek!
