Got a call from someone claiming to be from the council, and just like others, he already had my name, address and postcode. I told him I wasn’t interested in any repairs and to stop calling me. Honestly, I’m so tired of these annoying calls.

Got a call from a guy saying he was calling from the council about some hold-up with repairs to nearby homes since Covid. He had my full name, address and postcode, which made me suspicious. I told him to hold on, then ended the call and blocked the number straight away. The number was from Birmingham but I live in County Durham and don’t even live in a council house. Definitely fishy.

Got a call about problems with housing association and council homes being affected by covid, like vermin, mould, and damp. Asked if my place was one of those, but I don’t live in any HA or council property - I own my own house! Ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call about some council housing repairs being late. Problem is, I don't live in that place anymore, haven’t for about five years, and it isn’t actually council or housing association property. I got a call from someone called Linda Grey claiming to be from ConsumerWatch UK. She told me that all UK residents qualify for a free energy price comparison. When I mentioned my current energy bill, she immediately pushed to get me to sign a contract and said she’d send me some papers for PFP Energy. Before I could even decline politely and say I’d research the company on my own, she just cut me off. It’s obvious these folks are just trying to push energy deals. Totally feels like a scam.
