It really sounded like one of those AI calls. I told them I wasn’t interested but they kept pushing, asking for my details, name and all that. Said something about consumer life services or something similar. Seemed totally robotic and dodgy to me, so I just went ahead and blocked the number.

Someone called 'Pasha' claiming to be from Consumer Services. She got pretty annoyed when I refused and insisted I’d already signed up for something. I bet it’s from some contest or giveaway and they just ignore when you say NO to any contact about gas, electric, insurance or whatever. My phone records show this number ringing and me picking up on 21/1, 14/1, and 25/12 which is worrying as one call lasted 8 minutes around 09:40 and I’m certain I didn’t actually talk to anyone then. Also got calls on 5/12.

Same old story, caller asked if I could answer some questions about my lifestyle. I said no, then they just hung up. Blocked straight away!

These calls have been non-stop for about 7 months now. I reckon it’s because I joined one of those online competitions where they ask stuff like who your gas provider is and all that. Next thing you know, your details are floating about everywhere. So the calls just keep coming. You block one number, then another very similar one rings straight after. Rinse and repeat. Proper annoying, honestly. From now on, I’m steering well clear of any online competitions. Lesson definitely learned.

Yesterday I got called twice by some dodgy numbers, and I just ended the call straight away, thinking it was some sort of scam. I blocked the first number, but then a different one rang from a number that's only a bit different, so I blocked that too. somebody said they were from 02 offering 100 gb a month for 25 quid. i told them i don’t have a bank account and asked if anyone at home would let me use theirs. my number’s with vodafone but they said they could see i’m spending about 50 a month, which is right. still felt a bit iffy cause of the south african accent, especially calling from a london number.
